Meet The Team: Kitty Blake
Swimming, baking and friendship dates in the gym balance out Kitty’s goal orientated approach to work. Our animal-friendly work space often includes her dog Riley hanging out with his other Fusion canine colleagues.
How did you end up here?
After a long search for a job in the PR industry, I finally came across Fusion. Their range of clients and passion for what they do really piqued my interests and now having worked here for two years, I'm so grateful that I get to work with such a fantastic team everyday.
Why Fusion Media?
Fusion has a depth of knowledge and experience in the fitness and outdoors space and I love how varied everyone's experience is.
What aspects of your role at Fusion excite you the most?
There is never a dull day at Fusion, you're always kept on your toes and learning something new along the way.
Any trends you think will dominate in the coming year? What should we be watching out for?
Running has already shown a huge increase in popularity in the last year, with more young people beginning to show interest and get involved in events around the country (and the world!). After Covid, people are spending more time outdoors and having fitness involved in their friendships, so I definitely think there will be more friendship ‘dates’ in gym classes instead of simply going out to restaurants/bars for a catch up.
What’s the best piece of professional advice you’ve ever received?
One great piece of advice is to set specific and realistic goals for yourself. By setting clear goals or targets, you can see your progression which can act as a motivator for success.
How do you like to unwind outside of work?
Walking my dog Riley, swimming/gym classes or baking
Finally, if you could have a coffee chat with anyone, who would it be and why?
There is no specific person who I would like to have a coffee with, but I would love to meet up with journalists more frequently.
