Shokz, formerly AfterShokz, are pioneers of bone-conduction technology. Their sports, lifestyle and communication headsets allow you to listen to your own music while still hearing the world around you.
Launched in 2011, they were initially a relatively small player in the consumer headphones market Shokz ambition was to become a recognised name and leaders in bone conduction. They are now the no.1 bone-conduction sports headphones brand in the UK and globally.
Our four years of work with Shokz spanned their 10 year anniversary and name change from AfterShokz to Shokz, as well as the launch of five new products.
Changing name is a big step for a company. Our task was to ensure that all earned digital content was updated and that press were fully aware of changes.
We actively sought coverage from high-ranking websites to help build the new Shokz brand and ensure it was prominent on the results pages for several key words.
During our term we developed their website content, creating strong SEO focused blogs which raised brand awareness and put Shokz on the front page of search results.
With every new product drop we ensured that the headphones were in the hands of journalist and reviewers ahead of launch. We build up a Shokz fan base so they were in demand for group tests and product placements.
At significant times of year we helped Shokz create exciting gift boxes for influencers and journalists to deepen relationships and build a connection.
It has now reached a point for Shokz where journalists are proactively seeking out their products and no sports headphones group test is complete without a Shokz product.
