The Brief
Create a buzz around a completely new event
Extend Red Bull’s reach in mainstream media
Ensure the press have the best experience on race day
Red Bull Quicksand, marketed as "the hardest mile you will ever run” was created as a highly engaging and credible event to increase Red Bull's presence in the running market.
Our primary goals included raising awareness of the new Red Bull Quicksand event through targeted fitness, lifestyle, and running media outlets with the aim of selling out 750 event entries.
We worked to extend Red Bull’s reach into mainstream media, leveraging key fitness and lifestyle influencers to gain additional exposure. Additionally we invited key journalists to ensure extensive experiential media coverage.
By targeting a younger, Gen-Z audience the event garnered significant media and influencer support, with high engagement levels.
The highly innovative and novel race concept and course received positive feedback from competitors excited to take part in a completely different event format.
Fusion facilitated 36 media and influencer race entries, leading to substantial media coverage with 43 pieces of coverage and over 55 social media posts, underscoring the event's impactful reach and popularity.
