Fusion’s Tour de France 2019 Predictions
July 6, 2019 - by fusionmedia Cycling
As the 106th edition of the Tour de France begins, excitement levels in the Fusion Media office have become palpable. Not just because of our ongoing work with Tour de France organisers, A.S.O, to help build the awareness of the race through social media and PR – but because of the pomp, prestige and drama that always accompanies one of sport’s greatest spectacles.
If you’re looking for more ways to truly immerse yourself into the Tour de France, there is no better way than signing up to Fantasy Tour de France 2019. Participants in the official fantasy league must pick a team of eight riders within a certain budget that will earn points across the different categories: leader, sprinter and climber. Your team has to have a road captain that will earn you double points, which can be switched round to suit different stages/riders.
For many of us, this will be far easier said than done to pick a winning team. So we turned to ITV cycling commentator Ned Boulting for a bit of help and asked for his insight into who he’d pick as directeur sportif of his own team…..
As for our office’s knowledge of the Tour de France, some have had a stab at who we think will be in the yellow (Y), green (G) and polka dot (P) jersey come the conclusion of the 21-stage race.
